The study will start on Monday, July 16. The site will be open to the public starting on Wednesday, July 18. One of the first things the archaeologists will expose is part of a bulkhead that was uncovered in the 1987 study of the northern portion of the site. This will allow visitors to understand the location of Philadelphia’s historic shoreline, as well as allow the archaeologists to assess preservation of the previously uncovered areas.
